UTEE
stands for Ultra Thick Embossing Enamel. UTEE is a thicker version of regular
embossing powder. The difference is, its granules are larger. There are a lot
of uses for UTEE, one can make embellishments, embellish the scrapbook projects
and much more. In this simple tutorial, I’ll share some simplest techniques to
start with UTEE.
Materials Required:
Melt Art UTEE Clear and Golden, Any Rubber Stamp, Versamark Dazzle, Heat Tool, Wax Heater, Versafine onyx black or any other ink, Distress Inks, Various Chipboards Shapes, Die Cuts(of your choice), Fine Curved Tip Tweezer and Flat Brush
Apply Versafine onyx black ink or any other ink on rubber stamp and Stamp on die cut
Stamp Versamark on die cut. Sprinkle UTEE on it. Shake off any excess UTEE.
Hold
the Die Cut with Tweezer, Use heat embossing tool to melt the UTEE. Sprinkle
some more UTEE. Melt it again. Repeat this step until you want a desire result.
P.S.: While UTEE is hot DON’T Touch it, it can cause skin burns. Always use Tweezers to hold your object.
Make another die-cut repeating steps no. 1, 2, 3. Adhere the die-cuts.
P.S.: UTEE dry too fast. So while layering, Swipe the Versamark over the object, Sprinkle UTEE on it and Melt.
In this technique, choose any chipboard shape and distress with distress ink.
Put the Chipboard in a wax heater, where the UTEE is already melted. Use tweezers to lift the chipboard.
P.S.: Wax heater works as Indian Melting Pot. In a Wax Heater, UTEE tends to take time to Melt. Make sure UTEE is melted thoroughly
Stamp Versamark on chipboard, Pour UTEE on it and Shake off the Excess.
Melt it and quickly stamp your rubber stamp into the molten UTEE. You must work quickly or the UTEE will cool and harden.
P.S.: UTEE will not cause any harm to Rubber Stamp. Leave the Rubber Stamp in the heated UTEE until it has cool down. The edges can be cut through scissors. The Rubber stamp you may use can be inked or you may stamp with non-inked rubber stamp.
