Hello My dear crafty friends there!!!
I'm pavitra here and welcome to rainbow craftykari’s blog. Our first challenge“ Revamp your Scrap is up on the blog and details can be find out here.
For today I have a chocolate tray (which I got with a wedding invite) revamped into a home décor piece.
Have a Look
For this altered piece I used prima’s newly launched waxes and patina effect paste and I really enjoyed working with them. They are super easy to work with and instantly glam up any project.
I removed the cloth covering and Cut chip board sheet in the shape of huts and placed them next to each other. For adding more texture, I covered them up with MDF, lace, corrugated sheet and metal embellishment.
For the tree I soaked gauge in Sculpting medium and placed it on right side corner of the tray in the form of tree. Next I Placed mulberry flower and broken clay embellishment on the branches of tree.
Placed metal butterfly next to the tree.
Once the entire placement is done, gave the entire tray few coats of black gesso.
Later I dry brushed art alchemy antique brilliance wax – amethyst randomly on the entire frame. After that I dry brushed blue and green paste from finnabair patina effect paste randomly on the entire frame and finish off with few strokes of brass paste from finnabair patina effect paste.
Die cut word – home and sponged it with art alchemy – antique brilliance red amber and pasted with glue as shown.
Hope you have fun going through the post.

Hello Dear Crafty Folks!
Papericious Pattern Papers
Welcome to my first inspirational post with Rainbow Craftykari. I’m so glad to be part of the Guest Design Team.
Today, I have a lovely fancy fold card to share with you all – a triple heart easel card! And wanna know what’s special about this one? I made this for my hubby for our 3rd anniversary. An anniversary is a time to celebrate the joys of today, the memories of yesterday and the hopes of tomorrow! I wanted to make a special card, and here it is!
This is how the card looks before opening – 3 layers of hearts!
Sharing some more close up pictures.
I have used pink and black CS for the main card base and covered with patterned papers from Papericious. The first layer that has a beautiful pink flower and a die cut heart. I wanted to add a little personal touch, so I hand wrote the sentiment, and added a small pearl to add more interest. I’ve given all the layers of hearts, a border of pearls. I just love the effect of pearls, wherever they are!
For the second layer, I have used a die cut sentiment along with a satin bow which I made using the bow maker tool.
Now on to the final layer, I created a small heart shaker using die cut heart frames. I layered around 5-6 frames one on top of another, stuck them all, and added a heart acetate to close the shaker. Aren’t those sequins lovely? Perfect colors to go with the card! I also added another heart on the left top and a few neon pink drops to accentuate the shaker. The main stopper at the bottom for the easel is another heart die cut that is attached using foam tape.
Some more angles to understand the card.
Oh! By the way, wonder where my personal wishes are? There is a secret base again in pink with my message to him.
Hope you like my card. Do let me know your feedback!
