Reverse Canvas MM Tutorial By Guest DT Roshini

Hello crafty friends,

A lovely Good Morning to you all,

Today in our Teaching and Learning Program we have a beautiful Reverse canvas mixed media by our Guest DT Roshini.

Over to you Roshini,

Hello, crafty Peeps...Glad to be here to share a project with you as a guest designer.
My dear friends, Sit back and just relax as this is a picture heavy post and I have
a step by step tutorial to share with you ...

1- Give a coat of gesso to the 6x6 size canvas on the reverse side.

2- Add texture to the frame on all four sides with white sand texture paste using stencil.

3- Paint the canvas with silver spoon metallic paint from Prima marketing.

4- Add cheese cloth and Doily to the canvas.

5- Selected the paper from Prima paper pad - Salvage district and apply a thin coat of white gesso.

6- Add texture to the paper using white crackle paste.

7- Stick the paper in the center of the canvas as shown below in the image.

8- I have used an empty match box, coated it with gesso and added same paper on the match box on all the sides and in center.

9- Place it as shown below to the right side of the top corner.

10- And now start placing the embellishments and flowers.

11- I have used white flowers, charms, and lace for arrangement.

And finally some microbeads, glass glitter and gold sequins, and dry brush with mica powder gold.
Here is the final look of the Reverse Canvas.

Mini Mixed Media Canvas By Guest DT Roshini

Hello Everyone,

Roshini here from roshinis crafts. A very warm welcome in this cool winter here at Rainbow Craftykari. I am so glad and happy to be in this platform as Guest designer. My heartfelt thanks to Maninder Kaur and the team. I have a mini mixed media canvas to share with you today.

It turned out as I expected and I hope any mixed media lover will adore it.

Here is few simple steps how I made it…

Size of canvas is 6 by 4 inches, I used white sand texture paste from Prima marketing and some cotton thread placed randomly on it. This is how I created my texture background.

Here comes the hero of the project, Guess what?? Used and almost squeezed Colgate tooth paste tube, added some flowers and MDF scrolls at the top right corner.

I used Prima marketing heavy body gel to hold the embellishments, resin frame, wings, etc. Then gave a coat of heavy black gesso from Prima marketing.

Now comes the magic of colouring with my all time favourite Lindy's stamp gang sprays. Here I used Button blue, Rizzo's rowdy red and Sandradee sepia. At last I dry brushed with Inka gold-old gold.

And finally I added the bulb from Prima marketing with the word Inspire on it. (My inspiration post here and no doubt I was inspired by my Colgate tooth paste.)

I hope you liked my mixed media canvas.

Do follow and keep visiting Rainbow Craftykari blog. More creative and crafty inspirational posts are coming up here from fellow mates. So do not miss it out.
