Winter Wonderland Card By Guest DT Vinita Jain

Hello, Crafty friends !
I am so excited for my first inspirational post as a a part  of Guest DT at Rainbow Craftykari !! Thank you so much Maninder for the opportunity.

As you all know, Winters have arrived and Christmas is approaching soon, only one month left now. So my  creation theme is Winter Wonderland.

Here are the  steps how to do.

I just picked my white CS and started blending my background using Black Soot and Pumice Stone distress inks at the top. Sprinkled few drops of  water and let them dry.

And at the bottom, I blended with Wilted Violet using masking technique.

Next, I distressed my Birch Trees stencil using Black Soot ink (some of the portion only) and pressed the stencil upside down with a mask of the snow hill.

Have a look how it appears.

Using the same  stencil again, I applied  texture paste to create the snow effect on the Birch Trees and created the effect of partial darkness (was barely visible in the dusk of my BG, very light effect of textured birch trees). I  also created  some script textures too using texture paste.

For creating snow hills, I die cut 2 different layers, one from PP and one from white CS using Spellbinder die.

On white CS I blended Wilted Violet DI and applied texture paste at the top using my palette knife and sprinkled some diamond dust.

I created one more layer of snow hill top with the same method, but instead of glitter, I sprinkled some micro thermocol balls for more texture.

Die cut some deer out of wooden PP. Applied diamond stickles and added some fine purple glitter on its body.

Die cut the celebrate sentiment out of adhesive glittered sheer. Now adhered all the layers using 3D foam dots on a shimmery purple colored sheet. Now before matting it on my black card base, I added a jute textured lace on my card base. And lastly, I added a jute string with jingle bells at the top for the embellishment.

And do you know I applied alcohol ink on my jingle bells because of  the blue color, so converted easily into purple to match with my creation.

I hope you all like my winter version, it was really fun to make.
Happy Crafting.

How to make a 2 layers Explosion Box

This is a tutorial which shows how to make a 2 layer explosion box. Explosion box can be custom made to suit different occasions.

Glimpse of the Explosion box:

Since Friendship day is around the corner, I made this Explosion box for the same occasion.

Steps to make  a 2 layers Explosion Box ;

Step 1
Start with a square sheet of cardstock of any desire color which measures 12 by 12 inch. I close black because it makes any color look bright onto it.

Step 2
Score 4 inches and 8 inches horizontally and vertically.

Step 3
Cut out the squares at corners as shown.

This is how it  looks like.

Step 4
Repeat Steps 1, 2 & 3 and make one more such piece for the second layer with 11.5 inches square cardstock. The layers can be of same size as well but I want it to be a little smaller than the first layer.

Step 5
Apply adhesive (I have used fevicol, you can use any adhesive you have) on the center square of the first layer and glue it to the next piece on top.

The base is ready.

Step 6
To make the lid take a black cardstock of 6 1/4 by 6 1/4 inches size, score 1 inch from all the edges and crease them.

Step 7
Make cuts along the creases on all the 4 edges of 1 inch.

Step 8
Apply adhesive on the flap and fold inwards.

Repeat same for all the four corners to complete the lid.

Step 9
Choose pattern papers and stick them. You can choose any pattern papers you like. I'm choosing 3 different floral pattern papers from Paper designer paper pack which goes along with the occasion.

This is how it looks like once we stick these papers to the base.

Step 10
Embellishments to be added.

1 - I chose Teddy bear die cuts from a pattern paper set I brought from a local store and wrote friendship message on them using a marker.
Stamped few sentiments to make more embellishments. (Clear stamp from Heidi swap).

2 - Quote die cut are from collection of die cuts brought from a local store again, a heart pearl, ribbon, a button, 3 pink mulberry flowers, bling to decorate the lid.

3 - For center of the card:
I stamped a sentiment "love our friendship" on pattern die cut for center of the card, added a ribbon to the tag and a little butterfly which goes along with the pattern paper and few pearls brought from local store.
I added few bling and distressed the corner of all the embellishments with Ranger's Mowed Lawn acid free distress ink pad using blending tool.
I used double sided tape to all the embellishments to give a 3D look.

The complete Explosion Box

This is my take on 2 layers Explosion Box for Friendship Day

Over to you Mansi
Hello Crafters,
Hope you all are doing well!!
Sharing a small tutorial on Super mini album in Accordion fold style. You can use this for anniversaries, birthdays, showers or any simple photo album. It is easy and cost effective to make. It measures 3.5 * 3.5 inches. Hope you will enjoy making it.

Material Required:
1) Chipboard/ Cardboard- 3.5* 3.5 iches- 2 pcs
3.5* ¾ inch- 1 pc.
2) Designer pattern paper- 3*3 inches- 11 pcs
3.25* 3.25 inches- 2 pcs
3.25* 1.5 inch- 1 pc
3) Black cardstock- 3.25* 19.5 inches- 1 pc.
4) Ribbon
5) Stamps and embellishments.

First Step:
Score the black cardstock at the interval of 3.25 inches, and fan fold it. Our base of folded album will be ready.

Second Step:
Place the chipboard pcs on black cardstock and fold the ends making book like structure. Don’t forget to leave a little space (approx. 2mm) between the 3 panels. This space helps in folding the flaps. Stick the patterned paper inside the book, and keep it aside.

Third Step:
Now take the Fan fold strip and stick pattern paper pcs on it randomly using Aleene tacky glue or your favorite glue. (You can always increase the number of panels by sticking another black cardstock to it). Cover all the sides, front and back, except for the panel on the top.

Forth Step:
Now Paste the ribbon and the 3.25 inch sized pattern paper on top of book, paste the small pattern paper on spine to finalize the base of your album. Now with blank side at bottom, paste the album panels inside the album and yippee, your album is ready.

Fifth Step:
Now this is my favorite step. Embellishments.
Use Sentiments, flowers, or any other decoration. I like to create a layer and keep it Simple. Here is the final look. Hope you enjoyed and understood this step to step process! Good luck and keep making more!!
